Let the fun begin!

For those of you with any concern that our kids don't have enough toys feel free to quickly scroll down through the next 17 pictures and your fears will be alleviated (keep in mind that I did not include all the pictures, I did not have the time to download all of them).

 Another successful Christmas, the kids got what they wanted and the parents are left to hope that the toys will keep the kids occupied long enough for them to get a nap.  Does it get any better than this?

Actually doing something together and not fighting.  Roc didn't have enough oomph behind it to get it to ring so Emma helped.

This was the last year that we went to the lights.  I was pregnant with Porter and supposed to be on bedrest but not being an overly compliant patient went to go look at the lights.  Looking at the lights and watching the kids play with the different things they have there is relaxing and helps reduse the added stress that the holidays sometimes bring.  Of course the kids favorite spot is the train, where you get to ring the bell and climb on up and "drive".

For those of you who get Christmas Cards from us you may recognize this picture, for those of you who did not get this card please let us know because I found at least twenty extra cards.

Another fun time as a family, Emma is becoming an experienced Christmas concert performer while Roc took this first time event to show off his skills in many aspects of the Christmas pageantry.

ChristmasTree Hunting Dec. 2009

Tree hunting is fun but I wish we would have been long horn sheep hunting!  One of our favorite parts of the Lewiston/Clarkston region.

Another successful trip to the woods to get the family Christmas Tree.  Tree hunting is always a fun opportunity to spend time together and to accomplish something as a family.   Besides, the ride up to the woods gives the kids time to think about all the toys that they want for Christmas and start preparing a list to ensure that they get what they want!

Halloween 2009

Yes, that's right Stacie bought a costume for Odie (and I can't prove it but I think that Ryan ate his candy).

Halloween of 2009, Roc continues his obsession with super heroes, choosing to be Wolverine and Emma chose to be Tinker Bell.  Like always they made a hall of candy but their favorite part is the opportunity to dress up and show off to friends and family.  It also gives us the opportunity to open up our minds and to see the world through the eyes of the children reminding us of what it was like to use our imagination.
 

Emma's Spring Dance Recital 2009

Emma continues to learn and grow with each dance recital.  This was her second dance recital, giving her the opportunity to learn another style of dance.  It is fun to see her up there with her friends having a good time and showing off the hard work that each of them has put in to learning the routine.  If you asked her I think her favorite part was either the rose that she got from Grandma Lynn or the cookie and juice that she got after it was over (I know that the cookie and juice was Roc's favorite part!).

Easter 2009

As you can see, as the kids got a better understanding of Easter, and as they got older and faster it was more difficult to take a good photo (I am mostly confident that the blurriness had nothing to do with operator error!). 

Easter 2009 was celebrated in LaGrande Oregon at Grandpa and Grandma house with Scott, Raini, Portia and possibly Ryver.  I know that everyone had a great time especially Ryan who took the opportunity to do some golfing with Scott.
