Easter egg hunt

After picking up the broken egg and having alittle snack, he sat down by the fountain and started to break open all the eggs and just eat.  Ryan went over to help him stop, and he grabbed a handful and ran off.  Clearly not interested in the eggs not picked up yet.  Look at how many are still in the picture.

I'm not sure Calvin enjoyed this as much as the everyone else did.  He seemed a alot happier once we went back in side and let him roam.

Over all the egg hunt went quickly and they had fun.  The kids got what they wanted, to hunt for eggs and candy!!  Although this year we only hid like 25 eggs, they were still happy and enjoyed sneaking candy when mom and dad weren't looking.  That's ok because their candy only lasted for a few days.  It'll be interesting next year when all four are in the hunt.

Angry Birds 2012

For Easter the kids got an Angry Birds game.  Now to understand the humor behind this picture you don’t require any knowledge about angry birds, all you need is some simple logic about how catapults work.  As long as you held the catapult still and provided the object to be catapulted, Porter without question or thought would be happy to catapult it for you, even if the catapult was aimed at his forehead.  We thought for sure that he would only do it once and figure out that it was going to bounce off his head but he continued time and time again to catapult the angry birds off his forehead.  He would smile as the rest of the family would laugh and each time he would become excited when the bird was placed back in the catapult.

Easter 2012

The family tradition of Easter egg coloring, the kids tried to contain their enthusiasm but with each Easter egg that got colored they knew that they were one step closer to the possibility of Easter candy and presents.  As we colored the eggs Roc’s intuitive mind got the best of him when he asked “I wonder what kind of candy will go in these eggs.”  As his parents laughed, they tried to explain the concept of hard boiled eggs versus plastic eggs.  Like always, Calvin watched from the sidelines thankful for the moments of peace without any siblings in his face.

He gets so happy once he gets up on all fours.  The funniest part is he crawls backwards. 

What to do about Calvin, none of the other kids crawled this early. Just over five months old and he's already all over the place.  I think he sees everything else going on and wants to be right there with them and he's quickly figuring out how to do that.  Before we know it he'll be running and chasing after them, it seems just like yesterday I was holding him and he was so tiny.  How things change in a blink of an eye.

Porter’s new found freedom 2012

The first day in our new house Porter took advantage of the space and freedom that all that space allotted him.  As you can see he has an abrasion to his forehead, a bruise to his nose and a scrape to his upper lip.  Some of you may be wondering how a child could run into the wall or trip on the carpet or fall off the couch, but for those of you who knew Stacie as a child, you can explain it to those who are wondering.

Calvin's 4 month checkup

We had Calvin's 4 month check up today.  Where's the time gone?  He weighs 17.5 lbs, is 25 in long, and his head is 14 in.  I don't remember the exact % of them all I just know it's all above 75%.  He has gotten so big, it's like all of a sudden he's out grown everything.  He's wearing size 6-9 month clothes!!  He's rolling over, almost sits on his own and is just talking up a storm.  His favorite new thing is to give whoevers holding him a raspberry.  You would think with three other kids you wouldn't be so excited about the talking and cooing but when all the others didn't talk until well after a year this is big!!  I think it has to do with he's not a binky fan.  Heaven help us when he teeth's.

Our New House

This is our new house in Rogue River.  It was along time coming and alot of stress.  As most of you know we sold our house in Asotin and it was a sad day.  There were alot of memories made and alot of growing up going on, not only with the kids but with Ryan and I together. It will always hold a special place in my heart.  This house will be our new memory maker.  Here's a tour, I hope you like as much as we do.

When you walk into the house to the right is the family room.

Continue down the hall and you enter the living room.

Off the living room is the kitchen/dining room.  Not as big as I would like but twice the size as we have now.

To the right of Calvin's room is a full bath and next to that is the master bedroom and bath.  It has a full a bath and walk in closet.  With a little and I mean little space for an office.

That's the upstairs. Down stairs is a big room separated by the stairs.  So technically you can call it two rooms.  We are, the left side will be Roc's and the right side will be Porter's.

That's the inside.  Not much of a front yard but a big back yard.  Right now it's all gravel with a big fountain in the middle.  Soon that will all change.  These pics are views from our deck.  The only thing that doesn't make sense to me is there are no stairs off the deck.  You have to go out the front door to get to the back yard.  I know with every house there's things you wish to change and things that don't make sense.  This is only one of the many.

We are so excited to finally have a house and not have to live in the apartment anymore.  We hope that all will come and visit to enjoy the area as we are.
